Allstate Insurance is offering a special deal to anyone who wants to use their online login for access to the insurance marketplace.
Users who sign up with the Allstate login can get an email containing a special coupon code for an annual membership at a price of $29.99.
This is the only way to access the insurance marketplaces.
“We are pleased to offer an early sign-up bonus for our customers,” said Scott Hockin, general manager, consumer product and solutions.
“Our loyalty program is a great way for our loyal customers to get the benefits of participating in the AllState insurance marketplace, while keeping up with all the latest and greatest insurance news,” he added.
“The offer is limited to a limited number of enrollees.
If you have not yet logged in, please log in with your Allstate account to begin,” he said.
The offer comes as the US government is considering rolling back protections against cyberattacks on the US financial system.
President Donald Trump has proposed making it harder for businesses and financial institutions to operate, and has called for a “national security” approach to cybersecurity.
But some Democrats have called for the Federal Trade Commission to investigate whether Allstate was engaging in anticompetitive conduct.
US officials have also been discussing whether to roll back the rules that are designed to protect consumers from data breaches.
We have no plans to change the membership agreement and we are continuing to work with the FTC and the Congress on their investigations.”
